  5. The new spotting system is a really big improvement on the game. Nice to see these videos. Well done! πŸ‘ In the first video I found a scene, where it looks like an invisible aircraft appeared, when it enters the propellar area. I checked the previous frames and there is an aircraft, very hard to see, but not invisible. Could this 'appearance' have been caused by the video compression?
  6. I have the same problem. The IL2 Steam version crashes when loading the main screen. If I turn off the internet connection, I can play offline without a game crash. Last night (about 12 hours ago) there was an issue with the authentication server, but the game loaded, the error was displayed and you were able to play offline. I think there is an error with the authentication server and the communication between this server and Steam is broken or the data transfer is corrupt and crashes the game.
  7. You are right. I have found the missing part of information about the throttle and prop rpm lever. There was an update in april that changed the behavior of the lever. The video tutorials were created before this update. That causes the confusion about the behavior of the throttle levers... . So everything is ok.
  8. Hello comrades, I have the same problem like @bluedragon. If I link the prop rpm lever to the throttle, the prop rpm lever do not stay linked with the throttle lever an stays at the highest/increased position and only can decreased manually by pressing the keys or the assigned axis on the joystick. If I do the same settings like in this video from Requiem, I do not get the same results. The turbocharger lever stay connected and increases and decreases with the throttle, but the pro rpm lever stay only linked while increasing the throttle. Der Sheriff explains the procedure in this video and shows the key bindings ... Is there another trick that will keep the prop rpm lever connected to the throttle when you decrease it? I could not find a solution for this. Greetings
  9. Yes, I tested it. I couldn't find the issue any longer in a quick mission. They did a good job.
  10. I found a thread in the forum with an issue that sounds similar to yours. The issue was caused by audio driver problems and the error was logged in the windows event viewer. That could be a little help for you, if you will find the same error message in your event viewer.

  12. Hello comrades, I have a problem with my hardware configuration. I want to assign a high dead zone to the left and right brake axis and I fail. The rudder with brake axis is installed and works fine. I have assigned a low dead zone of 4% to both brake axis in IL2 and it works also fine. But if I set the high dead zone in IL2 to any valid value, IL2 do not want to save my changes. I open the axis configuration (key mapping -> plane controls -> right wheel brake/left wheel brake), set the high dead zone to an valid value (like 4%) and the brake curve diagram on the right gets an update. If I use the brakes now, the gauge on top of the configuration menu shows the right behavior of the brakes. But if I leave the configuration menu by clicking accept to save the changes and reenter the configuration menu again, the high dead zone value is reset to 0% again, as if it was never changed. I tried two different rudders. It doesn't matter which rudder I used, the high dead zone is unsetable. It would be nice if you could tell me what I am doing wrong, or if you have the same problem.   13. Hi. I am already using this work around in my own created custom missions. This time the problem occurred while using the quick mission builder and not with a custom mission. I think this issue should not occur when using the quick mission builder. This time it looks like the OnKilled event message is being sent while the object is being deleted from the map. However, I do not understand why objects/vehicles/aircraft should send the OnKilled event message multiple times. If an object sends this message, it means that the object can not act or react any more. If it is necessary to send this message multiple times, than it is fine. πŸ™‚
  14. Dear dev team, I want to report an issue, that could caused by a problem by sending the OnKilled event message from a crashed/unflyable AI aircraft. That happened a several times while playing an offline duel against the AI, but every time that happend I didn't record the duel, except today. I started a simple offline duel against the AI, level of difficulty is ace, at the map Rhineland/Bodenplatte in spring 1945 with three enemy waves. The AI and me starting in flight at 4000 meters. I do not use any modifications or somethime else. At time 05:02 enemy one crashes into the ground. Aircraft is unflyable, but the pilot is alive. A message is shown, that enemy one was killed and enemy two appears at 4000 meters. Enemy one is still visible at the ground. So here was the OnKilled event message sent the first time for enemy one. Everything is fine. πŸ‘ At time 06:03 another enemy killed message is shown, but enemy two is still alive and in best condition. Enemy one was removed from the map at the same time and enemy three appears at 4000 meters. So I have to care about two enemies at the same time. πŸ€” I guess, that the OnKilled event message is sent twice for enemy one in this rare situation, if the aircraft is "grounded" and the pilot is still alive when the aircraft getting removed. This issue I noticed in some own created custom missions too, but than I thought I made a mistake in the editor which triggers the issue. But it is also possible, that the game engine send the OnKilled event message twice in this rare situations.   15. Absolutely, I totally forgot about the royalties for the song. You are right, to use a song that Hans Zimmer composed, that would be extremely expensive. But that would be really cool. πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜€ It is much better to invest the money in the developers/team and in the game. The song sounds so epic, that I tought it could has been composed for an Hollywood blockbuster.
