    Live-streaming CLOD BLITZ....?

OK. So I managed to live-stream (albeit a bit stuttery....). ...but there are other issues... I've set a PTT button on my throttle for talking over the stream - but it's pretty choppy. (Same stream commentary setup in War Thunder - & it works fine). When I clicked onto my other monitor, then returned to the IL2 mission, various controller functionalities had been lost. After a while I tried clicking onto my 2nd monitor again briefly & when I then returned to the mission all functionality had returned....?? Below are 2 links the my most recent results. Flight, & landing at North Weald, UK. (Starts 0:04:00, then at 0:09:50 - Landing at North Weald UK - Hey - I'm very new to IL2......) (1st voice test, at about 0:04:25, is rather lower in volume, compared to game sound) Sorry about the massive vid links.... πŸ˜• I then taxied for a take-off (but gear BROKE before I rolled - prob damaged on landing...?).
  2. Considering the 2 quotes above, here's my situation. I've now found that for me to successfully live-stream IL2 it needs to be in FullScreen mode (Pseudo mode allows streaming of the static menu screens, but allows streaming of game sound only, over a black screen). So I need to be in FullScreen mode to stream. I've changed mouse use from 2 to 1 [rts] ; 0 - not use, 1 - show cursor and not capture, 2 - not show cursor, and capture mouseUse=2 (now changed to 1) So this now allows my mouse pointer to go to 2nd mon while in flight - Great πŸ‘ but.. When I hit Esc while flying the mission, it takes me back to the Mission Menu screen but the menu items are not clickable - but.... as I move my mouse around the mission menu screen it is showing me names of shortcuts on my destop (the layer below the IL2 Mission screen) eg - a .jpg - and I can double-click on these names & open the item... so, to the mouse, the IL2 Mision Menu screen is invisible..... In this circumstance, the Esc key is as inefective as the menu items. It does nothing. To get back to the mission I have to go to Task Manager, locate IL2 & 'Switch to' it - ....THEN, on the mission Menu screen the Esc key will put me back in-flight in the mission. So..... it there a way, while using FullScreen, that I can keep the Menu items clickable after 'Esc-ing' from flight in a mission? Thx chaps! Additional: Regarding: With mouseUse=2 you'll have a mouse cursor in the cockpit and it will be locked to the monitor you cockpit is on. With mouseUse=1 you'll have a mouse cursor in the cockpit, but it will not be locked to the monitor you cockpit is on, but you can move it to other monitors, But beware: if you click in a monitor your cockpit is not on (e.g. Teamspeak), you'll bounce back to windows' desktop (a bit like having pressed alt-tab). Hopefully, I can live with that...

    Live-streaming CLOD BLITZ....?

Yeah. It seems that the 'Pseudo' setting was actually causing the issue, & setting it back to Full Screen enabled streaming - so the suggestion by DD-FT- pushed me in the right direction. I had it set to Pseudo 'cos it seemed I couldn't get to my other monitor with my mouse - but I now think I was mistaken about that in the confusion of just being totally new to IL2. With Full Screen set I can in fact still access the other mon - tho' once I hit the FLY button I have to hit Esc to get to the other mon, & then it all falls over - can't click menu items & have to re-start IL2...... Thx.

    Live-streaming CLOD BLITZ....?

Right. Update. I set it back to Full Screen. Streaming OK now - but laggy - prob to do with other stuff...

    Live-streaming CLOD BLITZ....?

Thx DD-FT- for suggestion. I've already set it from 'Full Screen' to 'Pseudo'. I needed to do this anyway so that I can access my 2nd monitor with my mouse, for other things, while in IL2 (but even with 'Pseudo', I still have to hit Esc from the mission to access 2nd mon if I've already hit 'FLY'...).
  6. Folks. I hope this post is in an appropriate place...??? Using XSplit Gamecaster, I regularly live-stream War Thunder perfectly well. I recently purchased IL2 CLOD BLITZ & I'd like to stream it - but tho' Gamecaster will stream the static screens it only streams sound and a black screen when I get into flight in IL2 Blitz.... Can anyone offer advice on what I need to do to live-stream it (or confirm/explain to me that it simply won't work....)? An example of the results of my attempting to stream is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCOkiLUPyLw Skip to about the 00:04:45 mark... - about a couple of minutes will show what's happening when I try to live-stream. If this post is in the wrong place, I give up.....

    What's the wobbling thing ?

Excellent - many thanks. I think one of the main things I must do is..... PRACTICE!! 😁 - but I will aslo check out as suggested. I need also to sort out how to zoom in on a target - but I'm aware that I'm really on the wrong forum here, so I guess I should get to the CLOD/BLITZ forum... Also just realised that last time I flew in IL2 I'd forgotten to switch to my dedicated TrackIR profile, adjusted specifically for IL2 (which I believe helped re the wobble issue). TrackIR can't do this automatically, 'cos IL2 CLOD BLITZ doesn't appear in the games list ☹️.... Dammit - wish there was more than just a measly 24hrs in a day...... Right. Sorry to clog up this thread - will now try to stick to the CLOD BLITZ forum πŸ™‚.

    What's the wobbling thing ?

Many thanks sir. As mentioned, I'm just a baby in IL2 - didn't realise that there were such differences (between versions) in the way it works. I should try the CLOD sub-forum then. Also, as a 'baby', I do appreciate that I have much to learn & to get used to πŸ˜‰. I'm sure my settings will improve, & hopefully so will my ability to cope with the wobble. We also get this in WT to a degree of course, & in DCS (but not as much as IL2). It's expected, but IL2 caught me out a bit with its degree of wobble - but I'll continue to work on my settings in IL2 to see if it helps (also on my settings in TrackIR....). PS - "MP aces"...? MultiPlayer...? Are you able to save me the searching by pointing me at a good example MP Ace vid? Also, I realise that we ALL will suffer the wobble of course, so that's a 'levelling' factor - this 'levelling' being highlighted by the fact that in my first proper IL2 Blitz MP battle I did get 2 air-kills (both same player, so maybe he was inexperienced), so I guess it should improve for me with time. Thx again for your response to such an old thread πŸ™‚.....

    What's the wobbling thing ?

I realise this is old, but was looking for info re the 'wobble' that we experience - & I apologise if this (mainly point 3, below) has been mentioned already (really haven't the time to read all 16 pages but I read a few). Here's my tuppence-worth... I downloaded IL2 (Blitz) a few days ago & have spent most of that time getting to know it & setting it up - so only a couple of hours actually trying to do combat in it. I also use DCS, FSX & War Thunder. IRL I've only ever had controls of a Piper Cherokee (for just 1.5hrs).... so I'm not at all experienced. Some of my thoughts are: Yes, each plane will have its own flight & 'wobble' characteristics - but we can create plane-dedicated config files & load them as required for each plane. I'm sure that adjusting controls suitably must affect the degree of 'wobble'. (Maybe the sensitivities, in particular.) but mainly..... Re my initial apology, when flying the Cherokee (OK - a very stable plane as far as I understand) I found none of the 'wobble' that this thread refers to, but in IL2 Blitz this wobble makes aiming EXTREMELY difficult - especially if the target plane takes evasive, as it should. The thing that hits me in the face is that in a flight sim at home we don't have the benefit of the balancing effect that our inner-ears provide during actual flight - we can only respond to what we SEE in screen. To me, the absence of this physical sense is massively important (&, of course, we cannot replicate it - we cannot FEEL the G-force effects of our turn (which should be present even a gentle turn), and the un-felt effects of a very tight turn in combat only become really evident by the screen going black (or red)....... So my overall feeling (ATM) is that the 'wobble' effects (even if they might be accurately replicated in the Flight Model) are more than we should be reasonably expected to deal with properly without the ability to FEEL the in-flight G-forces. Any thoughts?

    Gun sight problem

Many thx for this Buz. After a lot of looking & checking this afternoon, I did find & correct some of my own settup errors. I find that 'Lean in....' locks my head to the sight so that the sight doesn't swing about all over the place - so, as a 'baby' of 3 days in IL2, this helps me. I also now have more success in starting - I think the initial throttle setting must be quite crucial.... I also took note of your startup sequence & will follow that more carefully now, and will check out the guide. I also sorted out my Chat issuers - again, my own errors and a lack of understanding. Thx again for all your help - got into my 1st proper battle 2nite & got 2 air-kills - HAPPY wi' that!

    Gun sight problem

Hi folks. I'm only a few days old in IL2. Recently installed CLOD BLITZ. Hope this is an acceptable place for my current 3 queries. Lean in to gunsight: In my Spit (single mission), using an assigned J/S button I can Lean into gunsight perfectly fine - but in my Hurri that same button leans me in initially but then immediately pops out again (even if I hold the button down). Engine cuts: In a multiplayer session, I can start my Hurri & it'll run for a while, maybe a minute or so, but it then cuts - (but now, as of today, it just doesn't fully start at all). Starts after that will only allow a very short run (like fuel is gone, running on fumes...?). Checks: Throttle cracked. Fuel Cock is in the Main Tank position (& I believe it has fuel in it...? But I've also tried on reserve tank - same.) Prop Pitch is fully fine (lever fully forward) Mags are both on - even tried pumping... same. Chat: I've mapped R to access the chat window. I hit R to open the chat window, & as soon as I then type an R into a message it immediately sends the partial message (as if R=Enter..... (?)... ). Anyone help...? Thx.

How does the turret gunner aim with the mouse ?

OK, many thx for response Red. Yep, all on CLOD BLITZ. Seems odd that Spit 'Lean in to gunsight' is OK but Hurri isn't..... Not sure that 'Chat' actually showed a default before I set it to R... feel as tho' it was blank.... Do u know what the default would be? Will try as suggested.
