  1. Oops thanks I totally forgot! @Bo_NidleNo worries, I was sick for a monrh so I stopped working on it and found it to be the most challenging!
  2. @Bo_Nidle Hello Bo, I was working on this very plane and I was in touch with the folks who restored this plane http://www.midwestaero.com/site/Midwest_Aero_Restorations,_Ltd.html I know first hand how difficult this plane is to paint. Would you mind releasing an updated version with the following corrections: 1. The Crew plate is missing the armorer: Pilot: Maj. J.M. ILFREY Crew Chief: T/Sgt. R. Burgess Asst: Sgt. R. Miller Armorer: Sg. O.H. Herm Radio: S/Sgt. Bruska 2.The canopy camo is a curved line 3. The camo on the rudder goes upward into the rudder trim tab Thie pics below were sent to my by Midwest aero:) Great paint!
  3. Happy Jack's Go Buggy was completed by Bo_Nidle so I removed it from my incoming skins.
  4. Type of improvement: Tweaking the Flight Mode of the P-51D-28 to make it more accurate Explanation of Proposals: Watch this: Benefits: Improved Realism
  5. Oh I see! First time I have ever seen this! Very strange! My finished P-47 skins do not have this issue.
  6. @Bo_Nidle Are you saying that even after unchecking the Bare metal and creating a paint layer dark grey, you are still getting a metallic shine? The alpha layer on the left is in two of my OD skins. The Alpha on the right is the default reflective P-47 alpha in the template

  8. @Megalax@Dookie_Monster While researching this post war North American Mustang Mk. IV, RCAF (Serial No. 9281), 403 Sqn http://silverhawkauthor.com/canadian-warplanes-3-the-second-world-war-and-postwar-north-american-p51-mustang_684.html flown by Lynn Garrison https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_surviving_North_American_P-51_Mustangs, I was expecting the markings to be AC but then in other pictures I found of it, the markings were PR. Then in a modelling kit I saw AD! Apparently RCAF post war markings became quite chaotic as expressed by this author in this excellent document! https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5ce2eac378733900016331b2/t/5cf13f8999db30000116a5f2/1559314314399/RCAF+Squadron+Postwar+Codes.pdf
  9. Yes this I know lol! I saw the typo a while back but decided it was too funny to correct
  10. Ok so I have created a version 2.0.0 to improve as per ICDP's observations. Details in my thread:
  11. Candyman Moose version 2 is now released here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3761-362ndfs-357thfg-candyman-moose/ Modifications: Better line up of Moose Antlers on upper canopy, smother edges along green and grey paint, markings now bear insignia white color, modifications to weathering and alpha channel. My previously released Spitfire can be found in the link below. I have the MkVb historical variant and MkIXe non historical: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3760-il-2-spitfire-mkvb-mkixe-336th-4thfg-donnie-boy/
  12. 334th Boisee Bee Released for Remeberance Day: Although he did not fly the P-51D I still wanted to honor his memory in Il2 Battles. Read more below! As always created with ICDP template with moderate weathering. The most difficult part about releasing this airplane was the nose art which is on two separate sections of the template and had to be lined up at the pixel level Now located here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3759-334th-4thfg-boisee-bee/ http://www.americanairmuseum.com/person/47272 and here https://acesofww2.com/USA/aces/beeson/ and also here: http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/4th-fighter-group/
  13. My previously released P-47D-28 Boisee Bee is now here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3757-334th-4thfg-boisee-bee/ My previously released P-47D-28 Donnie Boy is now here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/3758-336th-4thfg-donnie-boy/

  15. Hey Bugsy , since we both bought this book, I just wanted to mention that the authors went through great lengths to capture the original colors and in some cases could not get the exact match and referred to the Federal Standard and explained their deviations from the standard. The PDF colors http://www.ak-masters.com/app/pdf/RCEquivalenceDIG.pdf differ from Cyber Modeler https://www.cybermodeler.com/color/ana_matrix.shtml The differences are not huge but if you take the color picker, you will see what I mean. I think converting these colors to RGB (HTML) is probably the culprit. It seems that this is what @ICDP used as a reference for his Camo. If you look down you will see the Bibliography from where they obtained their colors. Will the real color please stand up
