  1. Thanks! They are the finalists of like 150 shots I took, lol.
  2. Career mode, 487th FS. This is the first 'in mission' encounter with Me262 jet fighters. I managed to sneak up on and shoot down 2 of the 3 and damage the third and force it from the engagement zone.
  3. Hello my favorite sim-crafters, I have a report for you. I have noticed this several times, all in the P-51 career mode. I don't use any mods or anything, just the base game files. You have to zoom in, but in the second picture, you can see all the planes have standing pilots. This mostly happens with the AI aircraft, but it has also happened with my player aircraft too. I noticed it when watching playbacks, but it also happens during the mission. Also, in the mission these shots were taken, the bombers being escorted never dropped their payload. They continued to fly straight till they reached the edge of the map, then turned around and flew to the other end, the mission never progressed and had to be aborted.
  4. Fictional personal skin. (That's my schnauzer Buster on the cowling.๐Ÿ˜„)
  5. I looked there, must have missed it. Ahh.... the burden of so many airplanes to sift through, what a hardship.๐Ÿ˜ Thanks man.
  6. Seems like it's been a little while and I'm a little surprised we haven't seen an official 4k template pack. Does anyone have any news on that front?
  7. How can I incorporate the newer BoBp aircraft in PWCG?
  8. Hi guys. I'm building a single player mission and I was wondering how exactly I can make it possible to land at an airfield mid-mission and reload your guns and top off your fuel tanks. I have tried to experiment with the airfield advanced properties R/R/R settings, and with vehicles as well, but have been unsuccessful. I looked all through the manual too and must have missed it if it's there. Please point me in the right direction.
  9. We've gotten a lot of responses so far. It's quite encouraging. Looking at the numbers for BoBP in relation to the ones for CloD and 1946 I find them particularly interesting. Almost as many players polled who have played the series since the beginning have pre-ordered the next, unreleased, installment. I think that says something good about the company.
  10. I've noticed that the bars under each member's avatar denoting which battles you've purchased don't appear correctly. I bought the BoS, BoK, and BoBP in the il2sturmovik.com online store, but only the bar for BoBP is showing. I didn't see options in the profile settings for this. Am I missing something?
  11. Well, it's not "my" poll, I didn't code it. All this thread is for is so we can see relative popularity across the various titles. I'm not interested in the statistics or math. The poll is just a nice visual aid, and a good conversation starter considering the replies it's gotten so far. Everyone in this community is interested in everyone else's journey through the IL2 series, and happy to share. It's beautiful. As for the results so far, I'm surprised to see that Bodenplatte is not as high as the previous titles in the Great Battles series. Do you think that means that more people are drawn to the early war aircraft over late war, or because it's still in developement? (I bought it in early release because I wanted to be able to jump into my favorite fighters as soon as they became available and luckily for me, my all time favorite was one of the first two released. In my opinion, totally worth the price.)
  12. I was wondering just how popular and widespread the IL2 series in general is. I have loved it ever since the original IL2, and bought every expansion, then a copy of 1946 for good measure! I kept it updated and regularly played it until Cliffs of Dover came out, and then I played it half as much ๐Ÿ˜‰. Those two have been supplanted by the Great Battles series, and while I miss a few things from 1946 (especially the more comprehensive QMB), I have no doubt that in the end, the Great Battles series will be the world's finest WWII Combat Flight Simulator. So that's my IL2 journey and I figured that I would be able to get a good idea of how popular the games have been with a poll. Maybe it'll be of some use to the guys in charge too!
