  1. this sometimes happens when You do not have centered position what usually helps is 1) "recenter seated position" in SteamVR 2) "fix floor" in Open VR Advanced setting 3) center position in game a good test is thant this initial "bad center position" causes snap turn is not working in expert mode, (i.e. your moves are limited to cockpit)
  2. this is true, your SW implementation is very good; but still, external ADC will be improvement; I hope, we will have it.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can also add my own measurement: simple switch on from zero to cca half of the max overview: zoom at the beginning, one can see that blue pill refreshes value every 2ms: ( with 1ms USB exchange period ) zoom at the end nice thing is, that all eight channels are within three LSB (12bit resolution, i.e. within 32 on 16bit scale); unfiltered channel alters 3 bits, filter no1 2-3bits, last three (strongest) filters do not. Configuration was as simple as possible, wires directly on the board, very short. I have also played with TLE5011 which works flawlessly. Good job! ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. working on external ADC support? good news! ๐Ÿ™‚ yep, the MLX90393 is the real beast! May I kindly ask You about multiple ADCs support? Is it in your pipeline? Is it even possible to have separate ADCs? The reason, why I am asking is in my previous post, hope it is obvious. My Russian knowledge is very limited so cannot read whole ru thread version, my bad.. well, I am playing with your last fw just now - so far i am impressed! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have noticed your project this morning, and as I have some spare bluepills in my drawer, I flashed firmware and this is my first test: simple stupid one single pot between 3.3V and gnd - see the picture. Really not bad for zero filter! Looking forward for external ADCs support! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Hi WG_Magners! many thanks for sharing your effort! If it counts, I also vote for external ADC support, and if possible multiple ADCs, meaning not only MCP3204 but also 4xMCP3201 for example. The reason is to keep wires with analog signal as short as possible, important especially in case, when analog sources are not close each other. I have build my button box with 6 analog axes based on bluepill in the past, namely this project: https://opensimhardware.wordpress.com/pedal-button-controller/ It is working, but I was really suprised how noisy is the internal ADC. At least "middle" filtering is necessairy. I have also played with LC filtering, but the improvement was only partial. It is noisy even with resistor divider soldered directly between 3,3 and GND pins. ๐Ÿ˜ž To be honest, I have not experimented with any external low noise voltage reference, like REF3033 or something similar. Did You try any? So again, I vote for external ADCs support.๐Ÿ‘ Thanks in advance
  5. I see, I did it the most simple way, i.e. binded desired buttons to gamepad, then there is no need to use driver4vr; - the next step will be to solder wires into gamepad and mount buttons directly onto cockpit chair ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. yep, that is true, recenter button is the must, when using AS; Lefunesteยดs check-6 is much more comfortable from this point of view; on the other hand - this utility works in DCS too... and I use it also to reduce brightness, as Reverb is too bright for me; unfortunatelly this brightness slider cannot be mapped to controller
  9. @Lefuneste: do not map keys for IL2 ยด, You have to do it for OpenVR Advanced Settings, see below: well, i did a bit more detailed "how to" it works flawlessly, both in IL2 & DCS; I use only two buttons from OpenVR Advanced Settings - 180 Snap View. First thing: it has nothing to do with IL2, nor DCS nor any other game - all the setting is done in SteamVR and OpenVR Advanced Settings (OVRAS)!!! my settings in OVRAS: at SteamVR: - the most tricky part (at least for me) was to find where and how to setup these buttons in in SteamVR: Important! - this must be done for the right application, nor IL2 nor DCS but OpenVR Advanced Settings. I could not to find it for a while, as it is named "Advanced Settings" only and nothing more Steam VR Settings menu looks like this, recommend to click "SHOW" in Advanced Settings (bottom left) then You can see purple option "SHOW OLD BINDING UI" - click it (note, this is not OpenVR Advanced Settings, it is just the same name for more options in Steam VR settings) now one can see list of apps, the right one is at the bottom of this picture: after clicking "Advanced Settings", one can see something like this: choose "Create new Binding" then you can bind your controller (I use x-box gamepad) Snap-Turn Left and Snap-Turn Right mapped to Pad buttons on gamepad, after some clicking, it should look exactly like this: (yes, only one button is necessairy in this case, as 180 turn left or right is the same) save it a that is all! ๐Ÿ™‚ well, for DCS was also necessairy to check "Enable Motion When in Seated Mode (Experimental)" under OVRAS setting menu I did this settings only once, few monts ago and it works, survived all updates..   14. no offence, but it is a problem - at least for some not native english speakers, trust me, I am one of them. They may just lost patience with you. It is not only about typos; try to slow down a bit and rearrange your ideas/hints/ questions into correctly build sentences. Read everything at least twice before clicking submit.   16. well, you are right - "horizon lock" may be a bit confusing term, it is named "camera shake" or so in Dirt Rally; and yes, it is about personal preferences - I would prefer "outside lock" against "instrument panel lock" in case there would be such option, because I look outside the cockpit much more than on gauges. In the real life brain automaticaly switch between both cases and fixes "camera" what one is looking at. option would be nice, we do not have such option in BOX yet VR is amazing ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. i am sorry, but I do not agree: in airplane is just one dimension more, think a bit about it. i do not want to fix stickยดs input. By the same token, "fix to horizon" does not fix wheelยดs inputs in car i am talking about turbulence incase of plane as equivalent to uneven road in car btw; we have it partly in BOX already: it is "F2" camera; unfortunatelly outside of cockpit; and the cam does not follow the direction
  18. well, I still believe, that developers will sometime take into consideration "camera fix option", as it is usual in car simulators, analogy is not far, as driving car on unevenroad is the same like fly in plane with wind turbulence i.e. option between these two: a) fix to outside => jerky cockpit gauges b) fix to cockpit => jerky outside now, we have in VR option b) only, what is very unnatural, because during fly you look outside much more than on gauges.. it is not so important on monitor, but in VR is see the video:

  20. @snipertonthanks for confirmation! * wind vs turbulence - yes, it is different matter, but turbulence is much easier to detect and option "no wind" is supposed to eliminate both as written in optionยดs note * fighter vs bomber - I have just test it in A-20, both in cockpit and bombsight view: "No wind" has no effect for both is there a way how to report it to developers to fix it?
