  1. SCG have flown TAW as soviet in the past...
  2. With this new damage/fragmentation modelling, is there any change to the likelihood or removal of the pilot injury induced blackout effect?
  3. The only thing I’d add to what others have said is that maybe you should consider undoing the 3 life rule. I think it has ultimately contributed to a far less populated taw server and I haven’t noticed that people fly particularly more carefully due to its inclusion, I think the loss of planes and streak is enough of a penalty for most.
  4. For the sake of not taking things out of context, maybe a snip of this pilot's subsequent sorties should have been included...
  5. well I actually realized and downloaded v9 for the test, so removes that variable. but yes possible it fluctuated a bit and lost me a bit of score, though I ran it twice with pretty much the same result. VR test was odyssey plus at 100% SS

  7. Oh absolutely, I'm not saying they didn't have tracer ammunition, it was invented in 1915 as far as I know. I'm just saying that it would be neat to have an option to not have it, as I think many pilots also would have not had it available.
  8. In World War 2 sure, but I don't think they were all that common in WW1 aviation. Especially for certain countries.
  9. Really shouldn't be hard. Already set up like that on the Mig.
  10. I gotcha, but I guarantee you that you were fed a line. Its possible that your tech did not have the patience to sit and wait for a software update to download for your oculus while he was there but that is the only thing that your internet speed would have to do with it. Trust me, I know. I also live in a rural area on sub-par point-to-point based internet. It's not ideal for gaming or modern internet in general... however, if you can play on the server at all, your internet speed is sufficient, VR or not makes no difference. In any case, if you don't want to mess with that route again, I get it. But, like I say, trackir is arguably more competitive for multiplayer flight sims anyhow. Maybe check it out instead.
  11. If you have a PC capable of running VR, you can run VR. It has nothing to do with internet speed. If you are able to fly on flugpark without ping issues, your internet is fine. Whoever told you that your internet speed was limiting your ability to use VR fed you a line of BS. It is possible your PC is having trouble handling VR though. In any case, no matter, trackir is arguably the most competitive setup.
  12. Of course it's still not risk free, but the best tactic I've found is high angle attacks with a wingman, if someone starts drawing fire they break off and the other dives in while the gunner is busy and vice-versa.
  13. If you have the altitude it's not that hard. I do it quite often. Steep dive, full rudder... dive and hold rudder until it goes out.
  14. I will always let a plane go if I see it is mortally wounded and going down/ditching. That said, if you are in a twin-seater and you stay in for over 10 seconds on the ground to let your gunner continue to shoot at me and my wingman you can bet we will turn around and start strafing. 🤣
