  1. OP updated with new information. I should add that if you live in the region and you are not sure MP is right for you, but want to hang out with people int he same region as yourself, then feel free to join us on the Discord channel.
  2. Oh, I didn't mean to suggest the engine or plane was damaged. I suggesting having the plane in a state where if the pilot takes doesn't take a specific course of action, then the plane will be damaged. The beauty of the system is even in failure, you can always practice ditching.
  3. Yeah, when I first started playing MP, the commander of the unit told me the most important thing in a mission is to survive the mission. ---- I do wonder if it is possible to "train" flying in formation. A way for training basic flight maneuvers. (This may be something for the developers to create though). Another thing is to start a pilot in the air with the plane in a "certain" emergency state, and as a pilot you have to properly diagnose the problem and resolve it.
  4. Map packs would be interesting; but to have the games be standalone would take some creative maneuvering; Like an option to buy the game as a expansion or as a standalone.
  5. I agree with the OP. The Rise of Flight store does this. I actually keep a word document with all my purchases and available aircraft and stuff.
  6. The Fw 190 is another aircraft. It is a little different flying compared to the 109.
  7. For BOM The Mig-3 and the 109 E-7 would be a good choice. Yes the 109 F4 would be a better choice. Really, either the G2 or G4 would have been fine. Another choice would be a G6, basically it flies differently than the G14 and the former three a/c mentioned above. However, it is CP, so unless a new pilot jumps in with both feet, they most likely won't have it. I do not fly the Yak, but I am sure one on one of them would be great as well.
  8. It was a factious comment. Why do you feel this sort of commentary is necessary. We could have a cordial light- hearted discussion, but you insist on turning this into something more. Show some maturity I nearly ignored you after the first sentence. If you want an adult conversation, you need to conduct yourself throughout. I will repeat myself again because in your eagerness to be obnoxious you seem to miss my point. The smaller maps (design for Tank crew/ battles) would be all that is required if all you want to do is dogfight in the air. The feature already exist. The land is irrelevant in this scenario. You also do not need a small map where any map will suffice. You simply pick to airfields, place assets there and off you go. There is absolutely no reason to develop a smaller map unless you want to create greater detail at the ground level which is something that Tank crew would require. Aerial operations requires a much larger map. The developments of numerous aircraft capable of ground assault and bombings would be a waste of development. If the focus of the development team is to provide a platform for dog fighting only, then smaller maps would make sense. However, this is clearly not their intentions. Just to be thorough: "The assertion that this 'different style of game play' that doesn't fit into the current sim" It is just a dog fighting sim. It is just part of the equations. Outside of recon and training planes for both sides, the sim offers a full range of experiences. A smaller map would remove that full range of experiences, but a larger ma does not hinder the other. So, in a nutshell, there isn't a point to create a map where developed aircraft would be difficult to operate on. It is that simple. Moreover small maps already exist and it does not require a another small map if your interest is just to fly and shoot at people. Lastly, we do not need smaller maps, we need more larger maps that can represent this battles for the aircraft that already exist in the game.
  9. ok,... Explain to me how these two maps in any way changes the approach to the development of the game. Also explain to me how a larger map cannot have a more narrow focus as a choice of the MP designer? Try answering without an ad hom.
  10. This is your thing; childish remarks. I would think someone with an Il2 tag that you are capable of better behavior than this.
  11. I might be in the minority here, but I would like to see more maps created for the plane sets already created.
