  1. I just saw the latest update with all of the available desert aircraft and man this looks promising. Unfortunately I've been flying VR for a few years now and just can't go back to a 2D monitor. I'm really hoping this gets VR support. I'm sorry but I've missed their communication on the matter and I'm unsure if VR is a "definite never", a "definite some day", or a "maybe one day"?
  2. 1. No 2. HP Reverb 3. No 4. No PC Restart needed since no issue Everything is working great, very smooth.
  3. My Reverb is really happy now. Everything looks great, all I had to do was adjust my POV and it’s perfect now.
  4. Thanks for listening to the community Jason and team, that is very much appreciated. This is an excellent post below:
  5. Thanks. Nothing in my post was negative to anyone or putting anyone down. Why would you jump in insulting me when you disagree with my opinion? Affordability of hardware has nothing to do with this discussion. There are many ways to enjoy the game, for me it's the competition with real players online. I like stats and winning...etc Everyone is different and I understand others don't care for that type of thing. Currently there is an advantage for 2D players where they can see at a greater distance and can snap their view rearward instantly. Both advantages play a significant role in performance. Those that play a lot competitively know this. I'm of the opinion that it would be better for parity here, regardless of the hardware setup one uses.
  6. The CheckSix is a good point as well. I'd suggest either eliminate zoom and Snap views in 2D or find a way to give them both to VR users. PARITY is all we're after.
  7. Ok Thanks. Yes agree we shouldn’t vent or complain. After all the devs are obviously to develop the game as they see fit. I just wanted to state that this may lose them some VR players.
  8. Great job on another big update, the work the devs have done is amazing and appreciated. BUT... I'm a die hard il2 flyer and a 30+ year flight simmer. Today was the most disappointing moment in my years with the hobby to find they handicapped all online VR users. Getting VR a few years ago elevated this hobby to a whole new level for me, a complete game changer. When I discovered VR I immediately bought every Il2 module available, I even bought Tanks and Flying Circus to support the devs even though I don't play them. The hobby was again a passion. I play online nearly every day now and having the zoom mod made play more on par with non VRers- it's an essential. I fired up the new update today to see it's gone. I'm speechless. I guess that's the end of the hobby, just like that. To have parity with 2D players, we need the same Zoom view and a snap CheckSix view. Or eliminate these for 2D players.
  9. There’s a little dot in my upper right corner of my view. It’s not on the lens and it’s in both games for me.
  10. Thanks for that, tried it and I suppose it’s a bit better. Regardless, it’s not a big deal and I’m enjoying the headset. I flew the other game last night and it was a complete game changer with the visibility. The question I have now is how do you get rid of the small tracking dot? I find it annoying when spotting planes, I always think I’ve spotted one then realize it’s the tracking dot.
  11. Ok, good to know and I appreciate your feedback. I’m still convinced it’s a bit clunky and uncomfortable but I’m closer to being used to it and I’m happy. On the plus side, I find myself using less zoom as I can see small dots now.
  12. Good idea. I have to admit though, I’m already getting used to it and while it’s not nearly as comfortable as my Rift, it’s manageable. The resolution is just crazy compared to the Rift, I’m finally getting to see how beautiful this game is. As well, I might now have to take the f14 for a spin around Nevada in the other game, it should look good.
  13. Interesting. Maybe I’m misinterpreting the the feel of the headset. With my Rift, I didn’t know the darn thing was even on. I notice the reverb will get moved around on my face when moving my head even though it’s tight. I have it so tight in fact it marks my face where I never had that in the Rift. I wore it today for an hour or so and I could feel it in my neck a bit. I don’t know, it’s just awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe I’ll get used to it. I’ll have to I guess since I couldn’t go back to the old resolution. It would be nice to marry the rift headset and reverb visuals.
  14. Just received my new Reverb today. Unbelievable resolution compared to my rift cv1. Hate the headest- heavy, clunky, and uncomfortable. The wiring is bulky and heavy as well. When shopping to replace my Rift I wasn’t worried about price, I just want best resolution. Did I buy the wrong device? Should I have gone with Pimax?
