  1. I have voiceattack and I set it up and used it for a little while. However I pretty much quit using it, I have everything I need mapped to buttons and it's just one less program to run. I have a CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH rudder pedals, and I also use a Razer Tartarus keypad for some functions (mostly housekeeping stuff: Pause, escape, VR Recenter, map, hud, etc.)
  2. Thanks! I was going through much earlier years then.
  3. Technically possible: ReWire Plugin, route game sounds to Pro Tools, apply 'Ducking Gate' to Game, set Key Input to TeamSpeak audio. When audio is heard down the Teamspeak channel the plugin will duck the signal of the game by whatever you set it to. Way too much work but it is possible.
  4. I looked through the campaign start options and I don't see the possibility of a fighter squadron flying P-40s. Am I missing something or is this considered an attack plane only? I don't really care that much about the historical accuracy of such a campaign, just for fun. Maybe it is date related?
  5. The poll numbers are interesting... Judging from the forum I thought the Vive was the more popular choice here and I was in the minority with the Rift... apparently not the case.
  6. OK will do. I actually downloaded it on a mac and transferred it over to the PC so maybe it got corrupted somehow. EDIT: Re-downloaded, seems to be working fine. Maybe my USB drive was bad. Thanks for the help!
  7. I'm trying to use PWCG and I am sure I have it placed in the correct location and have changed the startup.cfg file. However When I try to launch PWCG nothing happens except it generates another error in the error log: PWCG Error Mon Nov 27 14:27:20 MST 2017 com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected BEGIN_OBJECT but was STRING at line 1 column 1 path $ at com.google.gson.internal.bind.ReflectiveTypeAdapterFactory$Adapter.read(ReflectiveTypeAdapterFactory.java:224) at com.google.gson.Gson.fromJson(Gson.java:887) at pwcg.campaign.io.json.JsonObjectReader.readJsonFile(JsonObjectReader.java:29) at pwcg.campaign.plane.PlaneTypeFactory.readAsJson(PlaneTypeFactory.java:70) at pwcg.campaign.plane.PlaneTypeFactory.initialize(PlaneTypeFactory.java:58) at pwcg.campaign.plane.PlaneTypeFactory.getInstance(PlaneTypeFactory.java:45) at pwcg.campaign.context.PWCGContextManager.initialize(PWCGContextManager.java:85) at pwcg.campaign.context.BoSContextManager.initialize(BoSContextManager.java:62) at pwcg.campaign.context.PWCGContextManager.createContextForActiveSim(PWCGContextManager.java:68) at pwcg.campaign.context.PWCGContextManager.setRoF(PWCGContextManager.java:172) at pwcg.gui.maingui.CampaignMainGUI.evaluateArgs(CampaignMainGUI.java:156) at pwcg.gui.maingui.CampaignMainGUI.startPWCG(CampaignMainGUI.java:88) at pwcg.gui.maingui.CampaignMainGUI.main(CampaignMainGUI.java:65) Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected BEGIN_OBJECT but was STRING at line 1 column 1 path $ at com.google.gson.stream.JsonReader.beginObject(JsonReader.java:385) at com.google.gson.internal.bind.ReflectiveTypeAdapterFactory$Adapter.read(ReflectiveTypeAdapterFactory.java:213) ... 12 more Any ideas? Thanks!
  8. Yeah this is the one I'm looking for. Always loved the R 2800 engine and first hand pilot accounts of the P47 are very favorable. I remember reading one account of Jug and the pilot was talking about using the service ceiling as a safety zone against enemy fighters. He said he could see the 109's trying to climb up to him but stalling out that high. Just an awesome plane.
  9. Also, which 50 cals? The US .50 BMG round is different than the 50cal soviet round...
  10. We need a server with 100 biplanes VS 1 262... if you kill the 262 you get to spawn in it next round.
  11. I think this is a good choice. Especially now that DCS seems like it's dropped the ball in Western Europe and who knows if CloD will ever get there... I was wondering a little bit with your dev diary about the aluminum skins... Had me hoping but I didn't really expect this announcement! P47, P51, P38... holy trinity of American WW2 fighters, CAN'T WAIT!!!
  12. So an update: I tried the suggestions that Oculus tech support offered up... switching USB port power so they don't shut off, reseated and photographed the HDMI cable connection inside the headset etc... all things I had done before. They wanted to know if I could connect directly to the graphics card HDMI instead of through a jumper. Well my PC is a Lenovo all-in-one with a full size 1070... kind of weird. And it has an internal jumper that goes from the I/O ports on the back of the machine to the 1070 which is located internally and sideways without much room. Their cable is very thin and is squashed in there at the top of the video card. It's pretty much the only thing I haven't been able to do so I used the Lenovo repair manual to disassemble the back of the PC and remove most of the back plastic housing. Then I was able to get the components zip tied back in place as a temporary solution and this allowed me to get to the video card ports directly. Well it seems like it's working fine. I flew for most of the afternoon with zero dropouts, and the rift comes on correctly after a reboot now. So I took the plastic housing and cut the vents out from above the video card, allowing me to put the PC back together and still be able to access the video card. Seems like it's working great. So I guess I can just chalk that all up to Lenovo being stupid in their engineering department. And all this time I thought it was a windows creator update/nVidia problem... Oh well I'm glad it's working correctly now, I would have done this fix long ago if I had known it was the problem.
