  1. I have the same problem, and I guarantee anyone else using a Vive does as well. It's just more noticeable to some due to variations in IPD. Basically, the window isn't rendering the full FOV of the Vive, and stops short, thus making the black bars you see in the mirrored display visible within the headset.

For anyone that hasn't noticed this bug, I would be interested to see if you can replicate it with a small test. Just go onto Wings of Liberty, select a 109 or Yak, and before you even start up just look over at any other plane. If you can't see the pilot, that's essentially the same bug.

I've never used OTT since I am using a Vive, but nevertheless, the issue persists

Yeah, this isn't really a problem regarding air-air; I would also guess it's definitely a line of sight rendering bug.

I don't know why, but this seems to be getting worse with each patch.

For what it's worth, I'm using a Vive. Don't know if this issue persists in Oculus or not. Anyone else have this problem?
  7. So this is weird, but I'll try to keep it short and concise. Anything (bombs, trains, tanks, explosions) behind my field of view (let's just say about 180 degrees) will disappear completely. That means if I am circling an armored convoy, if I fly past and look over my shoulder, there will be nothing there. Pooof! Gone! This makes tracking targets especially difficult, and this has been an issue ever since the VR patch was instituted. It really only happens in VR. Additionally, when I'm sitting on the taxiway in multiplayer, there is never anyone piloting the other planes sitting there with me. They're completely empty until they taxi a fair distance away from me. Surely I'm not the only one having this issue? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. I will update this later with photos and video.
  8. Hoping someone can explain this, but at certain angles everything begins to disappear. If I am tracking ground targets, often times they will not appear until I am fairly lined up with them. If I fly over a convoy, it's not unusual for them to completely disappear as I look behind my shoulder. Bombs also disappear after falling to a certain altitude, only to magically explode moments later. I'm thinking this is either a rendering method, or a serious bug. Either way, it's putting VR players at a serious disadvantage.
  9. I've tried streaming my VR sessions on my Vive a few times now, and the aspect ratio that is mirrored onto my monitor makes things a bit difficult to watch. Things such as distant planes and ground targets easily become obscured and lost. Has anyone discovered a way to change the perspective so it's not mirroring in a tiny portrait orientation, but rather landscape orientation?
