  1. This is needed also in BOx. Great initiative. I hope that it gets implemented at some point. Is really annoying to be tweaking curves depending which plane I am going to fly, even more noticeable between bombers and fighters...
  2. Not thinking about that level of "complexity". In terms of game play, some fluids could be more "annoying" than others and take more or less time to disperse from the screen.

Benefits: Best management of your "goto" servers and better usability.

  6. As these DM changes have been so "significant", would be great if Devs provide some diagrams showing each aircraft Hit boxes and detailing which part of the aircraft they represent. We could see that way how far this improvement has gone in this matter, at least about the localized damage.
  7. I write to apologize for my latest post (that I have deleted already). I understand that It was mean and toxic and did not add much to the topic itself. It came out from an angry moment about some reactions and for my frustration about the outcome of this latest patch... Still should not justify the manners... In any case, I express my most sincere apologies for anyone that might have felt offended by it.
  8. It is really sad to see how most of the comments here are so positive... I appreciate the effort of the Dev team and all the new stuff; damage decals and all those new physics and factors taken in account for the damage model and ballistics. The thing is that IMO Soviet planes are still really weak. I understand most Axis pilots are charmed about how devastating are their rounds now ( "funny" to see that there is still people complaining about it saying that they are under powered and that they will uninstall the game or stop breathing if this continues like so...) Allied pilots, we have been enduring this Axis "empowering" for a very long time. Basically, most Axis fighters hit harder, climb better, dive better, turn better and take/do a lot more damage. I wonder if allies could win the war if it was based on this simulator "realism". Bottom line... Please Devs, whatever you do in the future, try to balance all this and make it fairer for both sides. All the "historical" data provided by the users might be overwhelming and all the people want their fighters and cannons to "perform as they should..." But this is still a game. Needs balance to keep both sides relatively competitive, this is the most important thing in my opinion. Is it easy to achieve...? Obviously it is not.

    [MOD] MK-II HD Gunsight

    Hi smink1701! When a mod is "OvGME / JSGME compatible" means that is ready to be installed in the blink of an eye using any of these tools. I recommend you to download and install OvGME. Is a "Mod setup tool" that you can use to install - uninstall mods for different games in an easy way. http://www.ovoid.org/ovgme/ *hope is not a problem posting the link here, is an open source tool. Is very easy to install (has a quick Step by step guide to set it up) In the image example you can see how I have it set up. -There is a profile IL-2 that I created with the wizard for BoX. -Under, you can see where the game is actually installed D:\Games\IL-2 -After is there a directory where you can Extract the content of any Mod that is "OvGME / JSGME compatible". Mine is D:\Games\IL-2 \MODS So just Extract the entire content of the zip to this MODS folder. In my case D:\Games\IL-2\MODS\MK-II HD Gunsight..... After just activate the "Enable" it from the list. *If you do not want to install any mod management tool, just copy the image files here: Your Game directory> \data\graphics\textures\common (does not matter if that folder was not there before) Remember that mods need to be enabled inside the game options also :].   14. Thanks a lot for the help LizLemon! It has been very handy. I have difficulties extracting the files, I might not be using the right tool. I am using unGTP-IL2.exe, but seems to crash and not extract all the content of the gtp files most of the time. In which gtp was that "common" folder? As you point out would be great to have more info about the gunsight different variants. Finished a little mod here for the gun sight texture: Best

Does always look better with a german plane inside it ;].   18. It was more like a "rhetoric question / proposal" Thad :]. I agree with what you say also. Individual controls, specially axis tune for every airplane, like in ROF, would be the way to go in the future. Best

  20. Hi, Could be possible a completely different tab for Tanks key mapping and controls ( with its own reset to defaults) completely independent for the BOX settings? There are already a lot of different controls and key mappings for BOX (and is already quite complicated to find what you want to map). Will be ideal that Tanks come with their own mapping tap/menu. Will make things easier ;]. Best

  22. Good idea meplanes 1969 ! Looking great. It definitely improves navigation during winter. Is gonna be a good addition also when/if my-bug winter terrain mod comes out. Would be possible to have the same for Stalingrad? Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the info FoxbatRU. Yea, would be very combenient if they could include something like this in the future. Is indeed not very imersive if all your squad does not show similar/same skin with a diferent given number. They could use the skins that you are sharing here with permision of their autors. Something like that would be great!
