Salutations, I just completed arranging for any surviving TF units, if successful in the attacks on Spas and Gryada, to proceed to the designated Assembly Area for the final assault on the battalions Primary Objective Zarubovka. Still testing to ensure everything works as it should. Next, the main battle. There are rumors of Tiger tanks in Zarubovka. Just rumors of course. I wouldn't do that to you.
  3. Nearly all those folders you see in my missions folder image contain the mission files. Make your own sub folders to hold the mission files.
  4. Exactly. Don't worry. I have separate "Audio" folders for all of my missions. When you place another audio folder in your missions folder it merely adds the new content to the already existing audio folder. Of course you can place the mission files in any folder you desire in the games missions folder. Below is an image of the contents of My Missions folders contents. Yours does not have to look like mine. The last series of files are the current mission I am working on. The other folders hold different tank missions while others have some of my flying missions.

    Actually, long long ago in a battlefield far far away, I played WWII Online. I often enjoyed taking their Pz 38t out to ambush enemy units. In that game the 38t was small and presented less of a target. It also had a pretty good gun for its' size. I would ambush, from the side, two or three... retreat to another chosen position and wait for them to continue looking for me. It often proved most effective. It was a enjoyable experience and is a gratifying memory. I realize that the TC Pz 38t may not be the same as the WWII Online version... but the good memories remain. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    As a mission builder.... a recon vehicle. For use in encounters between light tanks and other lesser armored vehicles, heavy machine gun positions and perhaps some anti-tank gun positions. They would just open up some different game play options.

  10. Salutations tankers, I have been working on my next single player tank mission, featuring the Sherman for several days. I have decided to challenge myself with this mission attempt. By that I mean to attempt to produce multiple different experiences for the player. Basically, there will be a 50% chance at mission startup, for a totally different combat scenario with different objectives for each. I am currently about 75% through with one of the possible scenarios. I plan to have the player (You) need to make decisions concerning which Task Force (TF) of your battalion to lend direct support. This choice will obviously add your tanking expertise to the TF blessed with your presence in their battle area. Plus there will be an additional advantage given to the lucky TF. Right now, I'm giving said force additional Rocket Launchers to soften up enemy positions and thereby making things advantageous to the attackers and possibly reduce friendly casualties. Your other TF will not receive such a limited allocation. Both possible battle scenario (two) will feature this type of resource allocation. Decisions, decisions... right? ๐Ÿ˜€ Basic Mission Situation: For the Russians, The past two days have been horrible. The German blitz had overrun and captured Zarubovka, Spas, Stepnoya, Pravoe, Dubki and Dubki Airfield. Fortunately, a storm front moved in last night and it seems to have delayed further axis advances. It has been determined to make a bold counter attack early this morning under the cover of darkness and take advantage the poor weather conditions. An outspoken and eager commander (You) has insisted upon deploying his, yet unproven, M4a2 battalion and be allowed to plan and direct the attacks. Desperate superiors decided to give you your requests. You have made you battle plans... briefed your subordinates and deployed your forces forward. More information to follow. Stay close to your enigma machine.

  13. Did you ensure that any files were not held over when you 'uninstalled' the game? Make sure there is NOTHING remaining of BOS then re-install.
  14. What do you mean that 'This mod fails'? Are you able to activate it? Have you played in a campaign to see if the changes have taken place?

  18. Thanks for the reply and input. The image above basically shows the Flag Headquarters Area. The flag capture is based upon which side has more units in the designated flag area. The area is 300 meters around the flag. When the Russians have more in the area the flag starts to move down and back up and capture time accrues. When the Germans have more... the flag goes down and back up and the Germans start acquiring time of capture. This can go back and forth and a stalemate can be achieved. But if you kill most of the Russian tanks... you should win. There is a time element involved too. But, basically if you have more units in the area.. you win even if there are a few enemy units around. They are assumed to have been captured or to have surrendered. Please note that there is a measure of random events that can occur during a mission. The planes can take out tanks. The randomly landing rocket fire can take out units. The follow up Tiger tank can be immobilized or knocked out. If it isn't, it can be helpful later in the town. You could be blocked on the bridge, etc. One never knows what can happen during the battle completely. I'm glad you enjoyed the mission overall.
  19. Salutations VR advocates. I have been interested in, watching and reading about, the VR experience and equipment for years. I was and still am (but less) reluctant to go VR. Why? I am a graphics whore. I simply will not sacrifice great game visuals for VR. I was determined to wait until VR equipment improved in the visual presentation aspect. I do not regret that decision. VR equipment performance has improved and it will probably continue to improve. My computer is almost five years old now. I will seriously consider going VR when I purchase a new computer. Thanks for all of your insights and comments.
  20. Salutations, For what it is worthโ€ฆ during my single player mission building, I find that I can't use the same media file more than once in a mission. It simply will not play again. The limitation seems built in. I produced a workaround by slightly renaming the file with the same audio. That works but is not ideal. I have also noted that after any media voice file is used I can no longer use the game speed settings. I wonder why that is?
  21. Non-Historical Single Player Set Piece Mission What's in blue, is new. BTL SS Tiger At The Gate is meant to be a tougher mission to win than the original which I ultimately found too easy in that regard. The AI did far to much to capture the town. In this SS version, I made many small changes to the base mission but primarily I adjusted the winning parameters for my Capture The Flag Group. It now has Russian Reserves move in to defend their Headquarters Flag Area. As the player, you will have to carry more of the destructive load and eliminate the enemy reserves. If not you probably cannot win. After your forces report creating a bridgehead into Zarubovka things get serious, timewise. Having survived to this point, get into the town and take out as many enemy tanks as you can that are near their HQ area. You won't be totally alone in this attempt but it will be up to you, as the ace battalion tank commander, to save the day. I've run through it over a dozen times but I request all of you to report how things go. Too Easy, Too hard or somewhere in between. Please reply with constructive suggestions or observations. Thanks NOTE: It can be problematic to have one of your tanks knocked out while on the bridge. This happens occasionally but I have tried to limit that possibility. As the player, you can try to go around or actually push it off of the bridge. Ultimately the game will delete the dead tank but this will slow your advance considerably and time is in short supply. See photo recon image of the HQ Area below. PLAYER: German Battle Group (BG) Bravo Commander In A Tiger MAP: Lapino MISSION: Capture the town of Zarubovka . Time: 09:15 Date: 25th September 1942 WEATHER: Clear MAIN OBJECTIVE: Destroy Russian forces and Capture the Towns of Spas and Zarubovka SITUATION: In the pre-dawn the fatherlands elite paratroop forces captured or overrun the towns of Volnoye, Orehovka, Snegiry, and Rodnik. Most importantly, they captured the airfield at Rodnik. The operation was an outstanding success with limited casualties. The weather has cleared and enemy forces have scattered to the east and towards the towns of Spas and Zarubovka. High Command is delighted with the turn of events and has ordered you to quickly gather your forces and take advantage of the situation. Battle Group Alpha, to the north, is to capture Spas and more importantly your BG Bravo is tasked with taking Zarubovka with its train depot and supplies. RE-ENFORCEMENTS: After the main assault kicks off... late arriving units will eventually flow into the action. 1 Pz IV, 1 Pz III L, 3 Pz III-m and a lone Tiger BLT SS Tiger At The Gate.zip
