  1. I use : Historical squadron web sites usually have unit badges illustrated. Modeling sites often have images of decal sheets. Image search on Bing specifically for badge/crest You can go to other game sites such as Mission4Today download skins for aircraft of interest and copy markings from skin. For camouflage I edit layers from templates , edit complete skins after converting dds to bmp then modifying in GIMP, or just start from scratch using base color layer from template.
  2. It's not clear to me how to enter duel on Berloga. After Requesting a duel and getting a positive response, enter a duel zone .Identify where you are.....Then what?
  3. Snap the pics. Quick firing pass and home.
  4. Colors seem too bright. Actually the Blue and Cyan looks too bright. Red looks orange.
  5. Good Start! Reds and Blue/Cyan look a bit oversaturated.
  6. In the course of one hour I lost connection seven times. I also noticed several people exiting and coming back frequently. Is there a problem maintaining connection with server or is it problem at my end?

  8. Considering getting Tobruk . One issue in COD concerns me.Does the 109 E still shake and yaw excessively when firing guns?
  9. Same observation here. P-40 and Hurricane are bullet sponges. In case of the Hurricane it may be because of rounds passing through fabric skin but with the P-40 ?
  10. Does the 109 E still shake and yaw excessively when firing guns?
  11. Screenshot in clouds yielded this art profile rendition of the Mustang.
  12. May have seen this before ,but I see that 109F skins in Great Battles can be used in COD as Emil skin with some editing. Made this from GB F-2Early generic skin. Converted dds file to jpg file and edited in Gimp. Takes some editing to get it right. Especially around nose and wing tips. Still don't know what part of skin relates to those bumps on top of cowling.
  13. Sokol, That's correct. You keep pushing assigned key until it's open to desire angle. Thanks, All.
  14. Getting back to COD. Tinkering with 109 skins.
  15. I’ll do that and see what happens. I was flying 109.
  16. I'm getting back to CLOD Blitz after long time on IL-2 Great Battles. I notice my flaps deploying at random. Plus when in landing pattern when I select flaps down they only go to neutral and closed. What am I missing here?
  17. On EU dogfight server last night. We had mid air but didn't kill me!!
  18. Several ways: Copy and save unit badges, nose art, squadron codes, kill and mission markings from existing skins found on this site and others. Copy from on line profiles. Copy from historical squadron web sites that usually have unit badges illustrated. Modeling sites often have images of decal sheets. Image search on Bing You can go to other game sites such as CombatACE, download skins for aircraft of interest and copy markings from skin. Create from scratch.
  19. Non -Historical DV and Pfalz.
  20. I checked but could not find a conflict. No big deal really since the note disappears after a few seconds. Thanks.
  21. Lately when I select the "gun camera view" using Left Alt f2 I get the view but a note appears saying "A Supported Game Is Required For This Feature" then it disappears. I get this using when using either GeForce Experience or XBox game bar apps for video recording. In the GE Force app I added Il-2 Sturmovik as an approved game. is there another setting I could change?
  22. Tonester, perhaps I assumed too much! I've been using GIMP for years. 1.Before pasting in the kill marks / score artwork: Create a newGIMP Image sized to accommodate the artwork you will be using to create Kill Marks/Score layer. When you create the new image - in the "Create A new Image "window open 'Advanced Options" and in the "Fill With" field select Transparency. Keep that blank 'image' open. 2.Open the image with the artwork you want to use with GIMP. 3.When that image is open in GIMP go to the "Edit" Menu and choose :Copy Visible" 4.Then in the image created in
  23. When creating a new skin (using GIMP) I add a “Score” layer. Insert either copied or scratch made kill markings and sometimes a KC with or without wreath enhancement. Lot of sources: dds skin files converted to paint or xcf files: aircraft profile art; images of decal sheets etc.
